The Agni & Rudra are a pair of living blade Devil Arms with serrated edges appearing in Devil May Cry 3 which originate from Agni & Rudra. They are able to hurl forth fire and tornado-like gusts^[1] using their techniques of gale and flame.^[2] They are wielded by Dante during the course of the game.

Twin Demon gatekeepers of Temen-ni-gru sealed away by Sparda, Agni and Rudra are a pair of living swords, swung by demon hosts, searching for an owner worthy of their power. Agni is the red sword with power to control fire, while Rudra is the blue sword with power to control wind. They are adept at fighting together, though they can be tricked into hurting each other.^[3][4] The easiest way to defeat them is to damage both at the same time, so that when one falls, the other falls just as easily.

The brothers are at first cordial to Dante, discussing how to be "gracious hosts", but when he demands to be let through their gate, they attack. After Dante defeats them, they ask to be taken with him as Devil Arms, and Dante agrees on the condition that they remain quiet.

Whirlwind	++	By spinning at supersonic speeds, your two swords slash through enemies with the power of fire and wind.
Million Slash	Crazy Agni & Rudra Combo III	Quickly swing your twin swords around for a multi-hit attack.
Air Hike	(mid-air)	By concentrating magical energy into the area under your feet, you are able to perform a double jump to reach higher, more strategic locations.

Twister	++	Quickly spin out dual sword slashes, creating a heat vortex burning everything in the general vicinity.
Tempest	Crazy Twister	Spin upward on an enemy while twirling your dual swords, generating a flame vortex burning everything in its path.

In Hinduism, Agni is the god of fire and Rudra is the god of the storm, thought to be an early form of Shiva.

• Though Agni & Rudra agreed to remain quiet, they will start shouting and laughing during the Million Slash combo. As a callback to the earlier cutscene, Dante will yell "SILENCE!" as the combo finisher.
• Agni & Rudra's red-and-blue theme echoes that of Dante and Vergil, although this is most likely just coincidental.
• Agni & Rudra is the only pair of true dual-wielded Devil Arms in the series so far. Although Vergil also used the Force Edge and Yamato simultaneously for a short time, those weapons are intended for individual use.
