Assiel was a female Nephilim in DmC: Devil May Cry continuity.
Story[]
DmC: Devil May Cry[]
Assiel was one of the many ancient Nephilim that were hunted down and slain many years prior to the start of the game. Her soul lives on in an immense, living statue, which holds an emblem that Dante uses to awake his Devil Trigger. Dante was able to find her statue in Limbo with the aid of the friendly demon, Phineas.
Afterwards, he was able to re-enter in his dream world where he finally unleashed his powers after hearing his mother's voice.
Vergil's Downfall[]
A crumbling version of Assiel reappears in Vergil's twisted Limbo, and it is here where Vergil finally corners the Dante apparition and slays him, taking his pendant as his spoils.
