Quicksilver Style
From Devil May Cry Wiki
The Quicksilver Style is a time-controlling style appearing in Devil May Cry 3 which is obtained from Geryon. It allows Dante to move at lightning quick speeds relative to enemies and the environment[1], thus allowing him to experiment with different tactics and combos.[2]

[edit] Geryon the Timesteed
Geryon was once a horse of legend ridden by countless heroes, until ingesting demonic essence corrupted and empowered him with limited control over time. He leads a ghostly hearse, equipped with a heavy armament.[3]
When Dante first steps upon Geryon's bridge, Geryon engages him in a game of "Chicken" until the bridge collapses and they fall into a Colosseum-style arena. After Dante defeats Geryon, Dante receives his soul as an attack Style.

[edit] Background
In Greek mythology, Geryon is a giant with three bodies joined to one pair of legs. He appears in the Divine Comedy as a bear-armed dragon with a man's face and a scorpion's tail. It appears that Geryon and Beowulf had their names switched, as this description better fits Devil May Cry 3 Beowulf, while Beowulf was a legendary Geatish hero similar to the Devil May Cry 3 Geryon's rider.
