Just Charging is a property of certain chargeable moves in the Devil May Cry games. When any of these moves' charge is released just as the charge level increases, they do more damage and in some cases acquire additional properties.
Examples
- Most Beowulf moves in both Devil May Cry 3 (only when used by Dante) and Devil May Cry 4.
- Most Gilgamesh moves.
- Yamato's Judgement Cut in Devil May Cry 4 Special Edition.
- Rebellion's Drive in DmC: Devil May Cry.
Trivia
- In Devil May Cry 4 Special Edition, while on max concentration, Vergil can charge Beowulf up to three levels, instead of the two that are common to most gauntlet type weapons. The attacks release instantly independently of player's input when charge level 3 is reached, and the resulting attack is identical to a Just Charged level 2 attack.
