Nevan the Lightning Witch is one of the demon gatekeepers of Temen-ni-gru sealed away by Sparda. She is a boss in Devil May Cry 3: Dante's Awakening, and is fought during Mission 09.
In the Devil May Cry HD Collection, the player will achieve the award "Lightning In A Bottle" after defeating her.

Nevan is a Leanashe who seduces humans down the dark path to Hell. She fights with a combination of lightning and bats, which defend and attack for her.[2]
StoryEdit
Dante meets her on his path down to the Lair of Judgement. When he enters the Sunken Opera House, they flirt and then begin to fight. Dante defeats her, and she relinquishes her soul to Dante as a Devil Arm.
StrategyEdit
In order to inflict some real damage on her, you must first destroy her "dress". Firearms are not recommended.
BackgroundEdit
Nevan is a traditional Irish boy's name meaning "Little Saint".
A Leanashe is a type of Irish vampire similar to a succubus which lured away men with her beauty. Once she captured them with a spell, she would drain away their life essence through exhaustive love making in exchange giving them a creative drive in the arts which eventually corrupts their mind completely to drawing only for them. The only written reference to it is by Montague Summers, and it is not certain that the legend is authentic.
