Is it safe to say that these may be designed after the M1911? 68.193.122.145 20:15, September 22, 2010 (UTC)
- Any gun-design stuff should be left to a firearms expert to add. Sorry, but we've had too many inane disputes over the Ebony & Ivory to allow non-experts to post their thoughts on these. If you know a firearms expert, we would be extremely grateful for their input. Thanks!(ಠ_ೃ) Bully! 03:37, October 9, 2010 (UTC)
Did Sparda really use Luce & Ombra when he defeated Mundus 2000 years ago? That doesn't make sense because:
1. Luce & Ombra are modified Colt 1911 handguns so they couldn't exist before the early 20th century. Did Sparda invent the semi-automatic pistol before the first cannons were built? Are demons more progressive than humans?
2. The engraving 'For Tony Redgrave / By .45 Art Warks' wouldn't make sense because Dante and Nell Goldstein (owner of .45 Caliber Works) weren't even born back then.
Could someone enlighten me?
- Not 2000 years ago, no. Just at some point before he died.
- The engraving doesn't make sense, no, but the game says what it says.(ಠ_ೃ) Bully! 17:28, January 5, 2011 (UTC)
DMC4[]
Didn't trish use these in devil may cry 4? The guns she holds resemable these, don't they?Shadowm32 20:30, March 16, 2011 (UTC)
Yep, I think so
a few questions[]
Does Trish wield these canonically in the first game? If so, how is that possible? Costume or unlockable appearances do not count, the first time they appear for real that I know of is in DMC4.
It's not explained how Trish came to posess them. Also these were made by Sparda himself, right?Elveonora (talk) 17:46, November 24, 2012 (UTC)
- I don't remember if Trish is ever shown with these in DMC1, but I think she had guns in the ending cinema, didn't she? She also weilds them in the anime. But, you're right, it's not fully explained how she came to posess them.
- As for who made them, well, the canon isn't very clear. They did belong to Sparda, but they bear the same "For Tony Redgrave" and ".45 Art Warks" inscriptions as E&I. It's unknown who actually made them for him, or, if he made them himself, why he wrote those words on them. --Anobi (talk) 22:06, November 24, 2012 (UTC)
