I recreated this page in order for us to talk (again) about the Savior.

Japanese Title Edit

I have a question for the person who discovered this information. How, and where, exactly did you find out, that The Savior was also called the "Silver Gigas?" in the Japanese version? I watched the Japanese version, but I couldn't find it. Dethklok91 (talk) 01:53, August 17, 2012 (UTC)

Quick browsing through the history of the article shows it was there from the start. In fact, it seems like it was created under this name, not as The Savior... It disappeared from the article for quite some time, then was re-added by someone named User:Michellesusanto (see here), and then properly added by User:KrytenKoro. Kryten is an esteemed admin and used to be an active editor here, but, he left wiki now, so we can't exactly ask him. Might it be possible that this can be found in the library files of the game, or in the artbook?
Also, how is it called then? Or is it just katakana transcription? My signature is NOT short! 03:13, August 17, 2012 (UTC)
Actually, I think I found the answer to my question. Even though KrytenKoro left the wikia, I found his Japanese translation for "Silver Gigas," along with Japanese translations on other characters and weapons. The website is: http://devilmaycry.wikia.com/wiki/User:KrytenKoro/DMC4_Notes. Dethklok91 (talk) 04:59, August 17, 2012 (UTC)
Heh, I have almost forgotten about those notes. Good find. It still leaves the question of where he got it... The Material Collection shows its Japanese name as the same glyph you posted for kami, 神. I'll try to look into this a bit later. My signature is NOT short! 05:15, August 17, 2012 (UTC)
I also think it's kind of misleading when it says "or Silver Gigas in Japanese (not counting my changes). The reason I think it's misleading, is because even in the Japanese version, it was called "Kami." I never saw "Silver Gigas" until I went to http://www.capcom.co.jp/devil4/main.html. BackgroundEdit

If you want to add this section:

"The Savior" was one of Jesus' names, with Emmanuel, Son of God, Christ, Redeemer, as the others.
