DMC3 Trickster Style

Trickster Style in Devil May Cry 3: Dante's Awakening

The Trickster Style is one of Dante's four basic styles. It emphasizes quick dodges of enemy attacks[1] to gain style points. In Devil May Cry 3, Trickster is set from the Mission Start menu or Divinity Statue. In Devil May Cry 4 and Devil May Cry 5, Trickster can be selected at any time during gameplay by pressing up on the directional pad.

Gameplay[]

Sky Star

Sky Star, one of the skills from the Trickster Style.

Trickster is a style that functions for exclusively "High Speed" maneuvers, giving Dante an edge in the battle for speed, much like the "Quicksilver Style" (not affecting time itself) and adding a handful of moves.

In Devil May Cry 3, the player has access to evasive moves that are very useful and has a level that affects the gauge for many reasons. The gauge could be leveled up, giving Dante additional frames and energy, including the most nefarious move "Sky Star" which throws Dante forward at much faster speed and traverse.

In Devil May Cry 4, Dante's Trickster Style returns but can now do more than he could do previously, he has more energy to produce in his "Sky Star" , and could extend his mobility (while also having moves such as "Mustang" give him an edge to move up at his moves directly).

In Devil May Cry 5, this style remains the same as it was, with the additions of Ground Trick that allows Dante to stay on the ground while closing the gap between himself and the enemy, and an aerial variation of Mustang.
